We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. You have to make the preview the same size as the animation if your making an animated ID. The ID takes the shape of the preview for some reason.
I think GIFs and Flashes work fine. But please use GIFs, Flashes look weird when I scroll up and down on my browser.
Just upload an animation,
Then a preview the same size,
Upload it as an ID,
Set it as ID.
The animation should come up on your front page.
